Cake Decorating 101

In this class, Chef Cat will guide you step-by-step to create a multi-layered cake. You’ll take home your fully decorated cake to showoff and enjoy. All skill level of home bakers will benefit from this class. Mature teens with baking experience are welcome to sign up knowing they will work independently with some guidance. Chef Cat is a trained Pastry Chef and eager to finally be able to host this class for you!

Vanilla cakes will be pre-made by Chef Cat for your convenience (you’ll get the recipe for that, too). You will make Swiss Butter Cream from scratch and use it to ice your cake. You’ll take your cake home in a proper cake box, all supplies included. This is a basic class where we focus on making smooth straight cakes with flat tops. You’ll learn basic piping techniques for decorating and some tricks the professionals do to hide the bits that aren’t perfect.
