Pastry 101 – old fashioned pie dough

Pie dough can be one of the most challenging baked items to “get right”. Chef Cat will guide you step-by-step how to make a flaky, rich pie dough that can be used for sweet or savoury baked items. We will use wheat flour, butter, shortening and lard in the recipe as well as eggs. Come and learn the secrets to making pie dough like gramma used to make!

This class is not able to be modified to gluten-free or vegan.

This is a public class open to everyone. If you are not comfortable sharing a table with a stranger, whom you will be closer to than 6 feet (4 feet), then purchase two tickets and bring a friend/partner. If you are not fully vaccinated we expect you to wear a mask during the entire class. The staff at Well Bread are fully vaccinated and in good health. If Chef Cat or a staff member become ill the class will be cancelled and rescheduled for a future date.
