Christmas Baking – Butter Tarts & Tourtiere
Butter Tarts and Tourtiere; two Canadian classics that ring in our holiday feasting like no others. We’ll cover recipes and technique for making both the gooey and chewy types of Butter tarts. The Tourtiere filling will be luscious and full of locally sourced meats, potato and traditional spices. Chef Cat will demonstrate how to make pastry and will prepare enough for the class to use during the lesson. You’ll make and take both treats and leave with the recipes and know how to do it at home for years to come.
