Pickling 101 – Cancelled will return later in fall

Our clients asked us to postpone this event until later in the fall and we listened! 

Are you lost when it comes to how to make a simple, homemade pickle? If home canning isn’t done properly, you can make yourself and family members very sick. Well, fret no more! Chef Cat will take you through the process, start to finish, of how to do water-bath canning at home. Once you know the basics, you can recreate all your family’s favourite pickles! We will use whatever local vegetables Chef Cat can find the day before this class. You’ll go home with multiple jars of pickled goods and the confidence to do this on your own at home. If we have time, Chef Cat will show you how to make a quick, refrigerator pickle as well.
