It’s true we eat with our eyes first, often determining if we’ll like the food by how it looks before it even meets our mouth. So, how does a professional Chef make their plate of food “look like that?” There is a science and “rules” behind plating food that make it look more appealing. Chef Chris Irving will share the techniques professionals use to visually stimulate the diner’s appetite by; placing the food on the plate in an appealing manner and the impact colour, texture, height and plate/bowl size has on the finished dish. Food presentation is as important as the taste of the food on the plate. The garnish and finishing sauces are equally as essential to a well balanced and more appetizing dish. You will learn so many “tricks-of-the-trade” at this class and you’ll definitely want to bring your camera!
